I do not understand why or how I owned this album in high school. I didn’t listen to Led Zeppelin and ergo how on earth would I have come across a Robert Plant solo album.
I do remember being confused by the line “all the romance of the Ton Ton Macoute” and then saw a picture in Newsweek magazine of a member of Ton the Ton Macoute gleefully eating human flesh (per the pic’s caption) off a machete and therefore got mildly re-traumatized every time I heard that lyric in the future.
